Zigzag Tufi - still legal?

Played with a Zigzag Tufi stick ~20(!) years ago as an outfield player and have been informed it is "illegal" as it is a "keeper's stick". Can anyone confirm whether or not this is the case? I'd be surprised if the rules had changed to outlaw it, but I've been out of the game for so long, it is definitely possible.
